How far to trust AI suggestions

AI suggestions are a starting point. How the app marks them, what is checked, and what to confirm with the source before you rely on it.

AI is good at saying what usually works. It's not good at knowing what's true on your date. So OffYaGo treats everything the AI says as a suggestion, marks it, and keeps a person's judgement, yours, in charge.

How the app marks AI

  • A sparkle and the words AI suggested on anything an AI decided, such as a journey time. See Travel times between areas.
  • Advice written by an adviser says who wrote it, for example "Written by Gemini from a Google search", and where it came from.
  • Estimates say they're estimates, such as "Prices are typical rates seen online, not quotes for your dates."
  • Facts from a web search name the sites they came from and the date they were checked. See Check this trip online.

What's checked before an AI answer is used

  • An AI plan for a day is applied only if your phone's own checks pass. If it adds travel or breaks a rule, your phone's plan stands.
  • An adviser's answer is shown only if it really searched. A reply from the model's memory with no search is dropped.
  • Hotel suggestions must link to a real page. A price appears only with a source, and no star rating is drawn.

A check catches broken rules. It can't tell whether a restaurant is still good or whether a train still runs.

If you find something wrong

Tell us. It's the most useful thing you can do, and it's what premium asks of you. Use the link at the bottom of any Help page, or contact us with what you were looking at.

OffYaGo's Information sources page lists where everything comes from, and the Terms of Use say plainly that planning information is a guide, not a guarantee.
