Your travel preferences
The countries and interests you chose. Explore narrows to them, and you can change them whenever you like.
In Profile, the Your travel section shows the countries and interests you picked, as chips. If you haven't picked any it shows Set your preferences and says "You're seeing everything we cover. Pick a country to narrow Explore to places you're actually going."
Change them
- Tap Edit at the right of "Your travel", the chips' + Add, or Set your preferences. A sheet opens over Profile.
- Pick or remove countries and interests. You can only pick a few destinations at a time.
- Tap Save changes. Explore updates as soon as you save. If you leave without saving it asks "Discard changes?".
What it changes
- Explore shows places in your countries and matches your interests. See Explore.
- When a trip covers a country that isn't in your preferences, the trip offers to add it, for example "You're planning Fukuoka. Add Japan to your travel so Explore shows it too?" with Add Japan or Not now.
- For a premium traveller with AI assistance on, the app may use your picks to work out interests Explore can match. See What the AI sees, and who gets it.
Without an account
Guests can set preferences too. They're kept on your phone, and when you sign in they join your account.
