Explore

The first tab. Your next trip, ready-made guided days, and places worth your time, narrowed to where you're going.

Explore is the first tab and the one you land on. It's built to answer "what should I do there?" without making you search.

What's on it

  • Your next trip. If you have a trip with dates, a card at the top counts down the days, names the trip and shows its dates and airports. Tap it to open that trip's schedule.
  • Guided days. Ready-made single days built from a few places, each with its length and how you'd get around, such as "2 stops · Full day · Private car". The little bar on each shows when in the day its stops fall. See Guided days.
  • Places to explore. Cards for individual places. Each shows its area, roughly how long to allow, a one-line tip and the photo credit. The bookmark in the corner saves it. See Reading a place page.

Narrowed to where you're going

If you picked destinations when you first opened the app, Explore shows places in them, and the hero names the filter with a Change option. If a place's country can't be worked out, it's hidden while a filter is on. To see everything again, change your destinations in Profile → Your travel. See Your travel preferences.

Finding something specific

Use the round search button beside the tab bar. See Search.

Photos

Photos are credited where the licence asks for it, for example "Photo: Wikimedia Commons". Photos already on your phone aren't downloaded again, which keeps the app light on data.

Without an account

Everything on Explore works signed out. Saving a place asks you to sign in. See Signing in and having an account.
